Week 3 and this week began our adventure into the world of letters.
We studied this week about Alexander alligator, apples, Africa, astronauts, and ants. We did some fun crafts like making an apple tree, an astronaut out of a toilet paper roll, a zebra mask and an Amber Lamb puppet.. AC had fun and practiced writing the letter Aa. His big a is pretty good but little a needs a lot of help... lol
For this lesson we used some of the Abeka program Animal Alphabet Friends Cards. These cards are wonderful for teaching letters and letter sounds. You learn by singing a song for each letter.
For Aa we made an apple tree using paint on our fingers for Apples and we used a sliced apple as a stamp in paint. This was supposed to leave a pretty print but it got a little crazy, messy and fun.
