Fall Alabama Yarn Crawl Highlights ๐Ÿงถ

What a fantastic adventure it was! I spent a fabulous weekend exploring the Fall Alabama Yarn Crawl, hitting four amazing yarn shops across the state, immersing myself in fibre goodness, meeting fellow crafters, and coming home with some truly special finds. Below are the highlights from each stop — complete with video links, shop info, and what I picked up. I’d love to hear your thoughts or if you’ve visited any of these stores!

The store was quaint, felt open though, and very airy/light. The natural light from all the windows made the yarns stand out, and easy to see the true colors.

๐Ÿงต My Top Takeaways

  • Supporting local yarn shops is so worth it; each one has its own personality and offerings.

  • Fall colours everywhere! Yellows, russets, deep greens, it really felt like seasonal joy in yarn form, and from all the driving, I did get to see some leaf changes on some of the trees.

  • Treating yourself to sadventures pays off. You never know what or who you will encounter, or the friends you can make.

  • Community matters. I met other crawl participants, chatted with shop owners, and just felt so connected to the fibre-art world. Oh, and I can not leave out the puppy snuggles!

  • Planning ahead helps — have a list, check each stop’s hours, maybe bring a snack, and always have a road trip playlist ready to go!
