Happy Wednesday,
I wanted to pop in and share a channel update with you all. First of all, thank you so much for continuing to watch my videos. I truly appreciate you doing so. That is the best way to support the channel.
As far as the news for the channel this week, there will unfortunately not be a video. I recorded on Monday and did the editing yesterday, but towards the end, my software needed an update, and I lost half the footage. I am devastated. It seems like as soon as I find a rhythm, something happens. It is frustrating and very disheartening. I want to create the kind of channel people can count on each week, but sometimes life’s curveballs come hard and fast.
Not long after the incident, I saw this quote from someone I follow on Substack:
“Irritations are God's gentle nudges
An invitation to use the friction to go deeper and grow in humility.
A reminder that His eyes are upon us day and night and we are totally dependent on Him.” ~ littlethreadsofgrace
Maybe you needed to hear that today, too.
As much as I want to do all I can to get the video out to you by Friday, I know I cannot. The week is filled with appointments, graduation celebrations, church activities, and other events. It is where my desire for perfection for the channel meets real life, and I am okay with that.
Just like the quote says, it is a nudge, a reminder that life happens, and the goals we set in the grand scheme of things mean very little compared to the people, moments, and the life around us.
I never want to upload just to upload here. I want my videos to tell a story. They are my story, my journey, and I want you to feel like you are a part of it too. I am going to try to get this week's video out by Wednesday, but it may be another video, and this week's will go out next Friday... we shall see.
I have big dreams for this channel. I would love to reach 5k before June and maybe even 10k by December, but I am also learning to give myself grace and take things one day at a time.
After all, how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.
Hugs and loves, and all the yarny fluff,
Kim
