Sneak Peek: Weekend Plans, Church, Crochet, and Cozy Movie Time

Tomorrow is already the last day of the month, can you believe it? I sure cannot. I have a lot planned this weekend, so I thought I would share a little of what I have in store.

First, I am planning on going to church on Sunday. That is very important to me because I have not been in for almost a month. Either one of the boys or I has been sick, or we have lost a pet the day before. We have lost five pets within a month, and that has been hard on all of us.

I also plan on rereading The Friday Night Knitting Club. I read it once before, but at the time, I was not really a yarnie. This time around, the story means so much more. After experiencing the love and friendships I have formed through sharing my love of yarn, crochet, and knitting with others, I can picture myself right there in the yarn shop. I imagine yarn scattered throughout the store and ladies sitting together at a table talking about their works in progress.

I feel closer to the characters now, and I can visualize their projects as I read about their lives. It feels comforting to read these scenes, like slipping into a warm blanket and savoring the texture of each word.

I am also still working on my current project. I decided to redo the center and make it more of a puff flower than I had originally planned. That change has been fun and challenging at the same time.

In addition to that, I have been indulging in a little 1980s throwback movie time. It started with Labyrinth with the boys, and then we moved on to The Dark Crystal, The Neverending Story, and The Neverending Story Two. It is going to be a great weekend, and I am super excited for all of it.

What are your plans for the weekend? I hope they bring you peace, joy, and maybe a little time for creativity too.
