Exakta Hat Knitting Project Using Charts and Cables | Hitch Book Pattern Review
I have been working on the same project pretty much the entire month of May. It was, however, my first time to use nothing but charts. The hat is called Exakta Hat by Stephannie Tallent, and it is a pattern from the new Hitch book. It is a wonderful book filled with patterns inspired by the Alfred Hitchcock films. There is even a matching cowl that can be found on Craftsy called the Exakta Cowl.
You can read the original post here:

The hat is worked in the round and has a cabled design with windows. Every one of the windows is designed to have a different pattern inside of it. It is actually a very easy pattern to follow. I am extremely new to cables, and the only other cables I had done before this was on a block from Love of Knitting.
I really enjoyed making this hat and can definitely see another one in my future.

Notes:
This was my first time ever working completely from charts and only my second time doing cables.
I frogged and restarted several times:
April 5th frogged the first 9 rows
April 13th frogged again due to knitting too tightly and making a mistake
April 19th completed Chart A
The yarn has a rustic texture with thin spots but softens wonderfully after washing.
The pattern was easy to follow, even as a beginner with charts and cables. Be sure to check the errata before starting. The hat is slightly slouchier than I prefer, and I omitted rows 18 and 22 on Chart B to adjust the fit.
